Mission & Vision
Our Mission: Protecting the environment and building capacity through training, workshops and mentorship, to catalyze community skills, resources and funding.
Our Vision: We believe in a world where all communities have access to the basic requirements for resilience, and that communities most impacted by systemic environmental and social threats will be prioritized.
Our team works in service of the gaping need to build capacity with and for rural and small communities impacted by poverty, neglect and racism.
The Capacity Collaborative was established by EFCWest as a collective to provide a full range of expertise in service to environmental justice communities across the United States and East Africa. We offer a systemic approach that integrates environmental protection with tools and technical assistance to foster leadership, managerial, financial and communications skills. Through decades of grassroots engagement and organizing, our team protects the environment while building and catalyzing capacity.
